Our client is a growing business seeking a Shop Technician to assist with a broad range of duties. The Individual in this role should be a dependable self-starter.

Responsibilities:

 

• Must be mechanically inclined to read drawings and use hand tools to perform assembly work

• Experienced in metal fabrication equipment, including saws, grinders, cutting equipment, bending & forming equipment, etc.

• Shipping/Receiving - Receive shipments, inspect for and report damages, perform counts. Ship materials by picking, packing, kitting, and loading

• Complete deliveries and general errands by driving company truck or van to and from vendors

• Good driving record is a must

• Must be experienced in the safe operation of a fork truck

• Must be able to lift 70lbs and occasionally push/pull 150lbs

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping warehouse area clean and organized

• Able to communicate issues, recommend improvements, and follow best practices

• Contributes to the overall team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Education and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent 

• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record 

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
